Yoga posture – Parsva Eka Pada Bakasana
Translation: Side One Leg Crane Pose
In this arm balance one leg bends and hooks over the arm. The foot is placed under the extended leg for support.
The bend leg is placed high up the triceps on one arm and its foot is placed over the other leg. This allows the arms to be somewhat evenly used and really allows this posture to be held for longer than many of the other arm balance yoga postures.
This is a yoga posture that stretches the knees, hamstrings and lower back.
Tips It may be a good idea toopen the hips up with Kapotasana or Ardha Padmasana before entering this arm balance.
